Cancellation & Refund Policy
How cancellations are requested and how refunds are decided and paid.
Requesting a cancellation
Signed-in customers can request a cancellation from My Trips; anyone can contact us with the booking or request reference. A request is not a cancellation: our team reviews it against the supplier's rules and the quotation's cancellation terms, and confirms the result with you. A request or quotation that you have not yet accepted can be withdrawn at no cost.
What decides the refund
Suppliers set their own cancellation rules: some fares and rates are non-refundable, some allow a refund minus a charge, and some refund only taxes. The rules for your booking are in its quotation (or, for an online booking, shown before you pay) and in My Trips.
How the refund is worked out
Refund = the amount you paid us, minus the supplier's cancellation charge (as the supplier applies it), minus Trip2World's cancellation fee if one applies (see below), minus any non-refundable third-party cost named in your quotation (for example a visa authority fee already paid). We tell you each deduction and the refundable amount before we make any refund; no amount is promised before the supplier confirms it.
Trip2World charges
[To be confirmed: Trip2World cancellation service-fee terms]
If Trip2World itself cancels a confirmed booking for a reason that is not caused by you, by the supplier or by events outside our control, we refund everything you paid us for it, including our fees.
If the supplier cancels or cannot confirm
If the supplier cannot confirm your booking after you have paid, we cancel it and refund the amount you paid. If a supplier cancels a confirmed service, we tell you what it offers (an alternative or a refund) and pass on to you any refund we receive for it.
How refunds are paid
Refunds of online payments go back to the original payment method through our payment provider. Refunds of bank transfers go back to the account the payment came from, or to another account in your name that you confirm to us in writing. We start a refund once the refundable amount is confirmed and, for amounts refunded by a supplier, once we receive them. You receive the refund reference; how long it takes to appear depends on your bank. You can follow its status in My Trips.
